Announcing the Casa Soccer League of Boston!
Posted by Tom Adams...

Tom Adams The Casa Soccer League of Boston is announcing it's inaugural season, slated to begin Sept 12, 2009. We are now accepting new teams and players. The CSLB is a not-for-profit amateur league for adults in the Boston area, run by volunteers who love the game of soccer. Our fields this season will be located at the Lexington Christian Academy.

League Format

Games will be 90 minutes long, full field, 11v11, and unlimited substitutions during stoppage of play. The regular season will constitute 7 games, plus playoffs. Each team is guaranteed to either make the playoffs or a toilet bowl game, depending on the number of teams. (...more league rules)

What Makes Casa Different

Casa is a league for the players and by the players. We keep stats of all our games online, so each goal you get over your Casa career will remain in your player profile, forever bragging. We aim to keep costs as low as possible by doing as much of the work we can ourselves, as well as donations and sponsorships. By doing this, we can offer low costs and high quality. The CSLB is inspired by the original Casa Soccer League of Philadelphia, which grew rapidly out of a similar effort to become the biggest and best amateur league in the Philadelphia area in only two years. We aim to do it again here in Boston.

Players

Players must be 19 or over. This league is meant to be competitive, so people who have not played soccer before are encouraged to try other recreational leagues first. In general, players who have played in high school or later will feel at home here.

Cost

The cost is $1400 per team, due Sept 5, 2009. This includes all referee fees, field rentals, and league expenses. This is lower that other comparable leagues in the area, so you get more game for your dollar. There is an additional $200 refundable deposit required for each team, which you get back at the end of the season, unless you forfeit games. $100 will be removed from the deposit for each forfeit.

Team Signup

Have a team? Register online. Payment is accepted by mail. Hurry, we only have space for 7 teams left!
